Passing time

Its been over 3 weeks since I left the office, and I'm enjoying every moment of it..
Being lazy, sleepy, doing workout, laundry, cooking and crafting .. everything ..!!!

So far we've made 3 C&L crafts, and I think this week we'll make another one..

Cooking always excites me, love the AFC shows and trying them on my dishes.

I'm making a short log on my workbook to record things I've made, hahaha ..

Got me thinking also, that I cannot just staying like this and being passive, I need to have some earnings.. So I guess I'll be thinking about the options within these couple of weeks ....

Sweet life

It's been a few days since I stay at home, and I'm coping with some house-work..

- Doing laundry *yes.. daily laundry*

- Cooking to my heart's desire

- Crafting with my girl

- TV watching *either cooking program or anime dvd*

- Facebooking, Plurking .. *thats been on my menu since 2 years back*

The most wonderful feeling is that I can hug my girl everyday whenever she returns from school, she would run from the front gate to the house and calling me.

Doing craft with her was fun and neat, she would clean up each and every moment before the craft is done.. and really, this Charlie and Lola is a fave..

Life is sweet ...

YEAAHH !!!!

First day to work from home..

I'm saying it as WORK coz I'm still doing some office work at home.

My staffs did cried and hate me for leaving, but above all, I'm happy for myself, and I'm happy I took this decision, for now, and many days after this, many many many more .. I wont regret it ..

I would be glad if there's a chance to work from home, will see later on ..

But above all .. I'm happy.. !

Farewell Letter

Finally... one day before THE Day..

I sent below mails to colleagues and coworkers and my bosses ..

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Trust everything is well at your end.

Tomorrow will be my last day of work at XXX.

I have received a lot of support and guidance from you all in the past 11 years that I have been working here. I have grown both personally and professionally thanks to the input I've received from all of you, and I've made some very fine friendships here, which I will always cherish.

You have all been a great help and support to me over the years, and for that I'm sincerely thankful.

I wish each and every one of you the very best in all your future endeavors in both professional and personal lives.

Responds came in, of which I cherished and be thankful for, and for sure I will miss my activities and those phone calls, those mails, those negotiation, those plannings, they will always be a part of my life of which I wont ignore nor forget.

Tomorrow is the last day, and I hope I will be strong to face them all - without tears..

Stuck in the gossip-world

As far as I wanted to stay away, apparently I'm caught in the middle of it ..

Bosses discussed the gossips of A, B, C .. and so on .. and honestly, I don't think its the way bosses react towards their staffs or current issues.

Told them to stay low, go deaf, and leave the words behind, gossips will expire after .. how long..? 75 days ..??

Well .. things will not be better with gossips, they will just thinning the air .. nothing good come out of it.

Cannot wait till the end of March ..

New Staff (resigned)

Last week, a new staff was given to me by the boss, he said she'll be handling half of my work and she's graduated from a very well-known university.

First impression was NOT so good..

She was being introduced as other person's staff instead of mine and it took till 2pm before she was literary given to me.

Within few short hours, I informed her all the basic things she'll be doing...

The next day, she started to come to work and intro her to the board and given her company's email id, job desc, and asked her to intro herself later on to co-workers.

The idea ended up as a very annoying email ...

She sent a very informal email of one-liner to everybody using local language even to foreign colleagues and suppliers... that one-liner include emo ... and that email also was sent to the boss..

What a GREAT impression .. so I quickly sent an email to everybody to disregard the mail.

I asked her about this and she said she just sent to everybody found on her contact list.. without asking or knowing - who they are, what they do, and how's the relationship with the company... *perfect smart kid* ... !

I told her right to her face that what she did was unethical and informal, that work place is not a community of her friends of same ages who shares same interests .. in short : this is not Facebook !

Days passed by ..

Things she did for me were more on data back-up, so she had to check all the details with other depts. During the checking, she didn't ask thoroughly for things listed, so when she reported back to me, I asked her to re-do the work...

So, I was like... Huh..?

Is this what you call checking ..?? You don't know where it will lead you ..??

Then finally - today - she came to my office, told me that :

1. she couldn't understand the job

2. the job was not like what she's imagined

the point was : she wanted to resign.

So, I asked her, what kind of stuffs you imagined about the job ..?

She said that it's really not like this - no further explaination.

Again I asked her, whether she wants to work in other dept as per her study.. ?

She said not now, she felt she's not into it at the moment

I was like ... *HELLO???*

Then I asked her again .. what exactly she has in mind about her future job..

She said she didn't know yet ...

So - no more talking - I said okay, you can go back to your desk, I'll finalize things by noon.

OMG ... what's this eh ..?

I mean, she graduated from college - its about time to do some work, or at least be serious at it, if not, then don't take the job..

My crystal ball said - she'll find a rich husband, do some fancy gatherings, shop around the mall, chit chat with friends ... not a career type ..

Later that day I just found out that she once worked as an account executive in a bank, main job was - finding customers - that's it.

Seeeeesh... how could this person got into my boss' head ..?????

Crazy ....

Heck, no matter what ... by March it's FINAL .. !!!!

Conflicts

Things are rolling so fast ..

First of all, around 20++ people resigned from the office, some closed their contracts, some left for new jobs, some left without notice, some left coz of no other choice given...

Drama and new scripts are invented almost everyday ..

Most of them circling around the new 'consultant' the office hired.

He is the most irritating person ever.. no coordination, no communication, and for me, he's just a salesman with no burden.

He spoke so very very well in front of bosses, he assumes everybody are stupid and he's the smartest above us all.

Everyday he's withdrawing conflicts among people, most disagree with his attitude and snob-bossy-style, he kept things with himself and bosses *ofcourse* .. and he's the one who's always right in front of the boss.

So .. to cut it short, I have no intention to work with him or talk to him after he announced a new work flow without my notice and later on he said he wanted to talk about it .. *isn't it too late - you've mentioned it on a board meeting and now you want to discuss about it..??*

From a level of dislike - I've become to a full bar of dislike - an absolute 100% ..

I've been trying to stay out of his way, he don't wanna talk to me - fine .. then I'll just pretend I dunno anything and I don't wanna know either... except when it come to my work.

Just like the thing happened today - he came to my staff asking for a place, a PC to test someone - without any additional info - so heck with him, my staff gave his place and asked nothing - so there it went - the new guy being stranded and confused of what to do...

Then like around 3 PM, the boss came around and he told us that the new guy is really a new guy who will be working with us and today he came to work *doh* ... crazy ..!

Can't that intelligent smart-ass consultant co-ordinate with us or at least with the HR ..???

Nope - he cannot - coz he's too smart-ass to do that ...

Sucker ..

My boss knows that I don't like him - so heck with that - I don't need him anyway ..

He's so very much welcome to take over my work - without further information as well - coz I'll be leaving the company soon ...
