Letter submitted

Today, Nov. 18th, submitted the letter directly to my Boss.

He read it for a few seconds, then conversation started...

Boss : what will you do..? why you wanna quit..?

Me : I wanna stay at home with my girl...

Boss : you have your mother-in-law there, haven't you..?

Me : She's not well, now seeing doctor on regular basis, and also, she still have one single daughter at home, who's now seeing a guy, who might come over when nobody's home..

Boss : ............... *quiet for a moment* ...................

Me : ..................*looking at him with full expectation for a YES answer* .........................

Then ... he gave me that un-willing look and said lightly that he's already scheduled for an interview sometime in Mid Jan .. in Manila ..

Whatzz...??? Mid Jan interview...???? When can I leave ..???????

There goes .... no decision yet from his side ..
Will rush him again next week... *sigh* ..........

Resignation Letter

Dear Mr Boss ...

Please accept this written statement as my confirmation of resignation from XXX.
I intend to work through the end of December 2010.
Please know that I am committed to remaining a part of the design team and continuing to assist the team for Winter 2011 presentation and Summer 2012 preparation.

The decision to leave the company after over 11 years of service has not come easy.
I love this job, the duties of this job, the people I work with and the customers I have gotten to know over the years. As per our conversation many months ago, I have been planning to be a stay at home mother for my child, and as you know, there were some home accidents happened without my presence, and also, as my child is getting bigger, she would need me to accompany her, not just a nanny for playmate.

I sincerely thank you for the opportunities, experience, and knowledge I have gained during my career at the company. I have so enjoyed working directly under your supervision.
If there is anything I can do to provide a smoother transition during my remaining weeks, please feel free to let me know.

Sincerely,
Your soon to be former employee

TINDERBOX

Magical tinderbox stashed in time
Wandered off somewhere
Scraping its tins in a while
Finding a way out for a fun
Me under its charms
Twinkling lights of blinding blitz
Stay from afar hesitating
How much longer time allows
To place the key back on its place.....

November

Today is Nov. 1 ...
Weirdo.. no movement, no substitute, nothing yet ..
Still discussing biz trips, plans for coming seasons .. *confused* ...

...

Had my bday dinner on Oct. 30, a treat from my boss ..
Meals in Valley were horrible ... very slow service ... such a place worth NOT to return to ...
But, on the other hand ... had a night out with colleagues and friends and family, they're all seemed to have a good time, especially my little princess, she hung out with her new Tati (auntie in French), and happily posing for picture.

Missed my friends already now... dunno whether we can see each other again soon, they're expecting me in Hkg/Gz or in Dxb ..

Oct - Nov - Dec

Time is drawing near...
Told my boss about me leaving the company since at least 6 months ago, yet up to date, still no single application come to my desk.. He even said to almost everybody that I'm not leaving the company.. So crazy...
Even though I've told my boss that I'll be responsible to train new person till he/she is really OK to proceed, but if they are not looking for one, it's so unfair.
I've planned this 2 years ago, and now it's only 3 months left, I will need to submit my resignation letter to them so they'll know that I really mean this.

Gosh .. this company is getting crazier ..
They sacked a person without finding the replacement .. and leaving all the work to me.
They upgraded a person to a higher position even though that person sucks in work, can only know how to twitch and turn the words.
They created a position which I've never heard before .. really new invention ..
They placed a very lousy person whom history has proven his inability as a new chief - of which the position was his years back and it was a total disaster ..
Well .. I really dunno where this company will lead, but for sure I need to leave them.

July 14th ~ Children's Clothing

Ok.. here goes... after typing and deleting and typing and deleting.. I think this time I'm gonna keep this one posted.

Today is July 14th, 2010 :
Doing blog-walking.... browsing prints, fashion blogs, online stores..
Try to absorb the ideas for this coming Summer designs.

Upon browsing and reading some magazines about children's fashion, I found most brands didn't consider child-safety, especially those designers with haute-couture labels.. they only want to have their name printed on the garments with heavy elements of details and bring in the haute-couture looks for children.
Regular brands also overlook the child-safety elements, they're putting drawstrings on baby's clothing, and I'm so not sure how babies could fit into slim fit denims pants... or in those jeggings.

Fashion for children are different to fashion for adults.
As children are children, they tend to do playful activities, especially if we consider infants and toddlers, they're not daily models.. Clothing for them should be practical, functional, such as multi-pockets for boys, and at the same time, comfortable.

With so many huge label designers flocking to children's wear lately, I hope they would realize that mostly children would like to dress up in such a way without carrying the burden of haute-couture, and as parents, surely we would like to dress our children in safe clothing..

Well.. just sharing my thoughts.....
