July 14th ~ Children's Clothing

Ok.. here goes... after typing and deleting and typing and deleting.. I think this time I'm gonna keep this one posted.

Today is July 14th, 2010 :
Doing blog-walking.... browsing prints, fashion blogs, online stores..
Try to absorb the ideas for this coming Summer designs.

Upon browsing and reading some magazines about children's fashion, I found most brands didn't consider child-safety, especially those designers with haute-couture labels.. they only want to have their name printed on the garments with heavy elements of details and bring in the haute-couture looks for children.
Regular brands also overlook the child-safety elements, they're putting drawstrings on baby's clothing, and I'm so not sure how babies could fit into slim fit denims pants... or in those jeggings.

Fashion for children are different to fashion for adults.
As children are children, they tend to do playful activities, especially if we consider infants and toddlers, they're not daily models.. Clothing for them should be practical, functional, such as multi-pockets for boys, and at the same time, comfortable.

With so many huge label designers flocking to children's wear lately, I hope they would realize that mostly children would like to dress up in such a way without carrying the burden of haute-couture, and as parents, surely we would like to dress our children in safe clothing..

Well.. just sharing my thoughts.....
